At one time, we were growing over 100 varieties of herbs. I have had to scale back, which has been difficult in light of all the wonderful and unusual herbs that can grow in our climate; however, by reducing the quantities, we have increased the quality – or at least, I’d like to think so.
In reality, we don’t grow a lot of any one thing except the garlic – and right now, the garlic looks great, but the rest of the garden is full of weeds! I am trying to get back on top of things after letting “nature take its course” the last couple of years. I recognize control is, after all, a mere illusion!
So here’s the deal: I know these herbs are out there. There are many many more that I have grown at one time and no longer do so. So many others I have added. It changes every year. My garden is always full of surprises. So contact me for availability – I am VERY WILLING to share, sell, or trade whatever we find!
I do not mind the chaos. In fact, I rather enjoy it.
If there is something you would like, contact me. If it is ready, I have a commercial food dryer and can pick it and dry it at low temps to preserve volatile oils.
As I develop this website, I’ll post updates on what is available. But time on the website is time away from weeding, so feel free to send me an e-mail inquiry (blythe [at] barbolian.com).
