Barbolian Garlic

Buy Barbolian Garlic!Got Garlic? (One can never have too much…)

You’ve read the blogs, you’ve followed the progress of the crop through the pictures, you’ve been salivating all year waiting for the fresh stuff to be available …

OK! Here is our schedule:

January – March: Watch the new shoots grow; hunker down and eat whatever you can salvage or had the foresight to freeze, pickle, or dehydrate. Our fresh bulbs (other than my personal stash) are becoming pleasant memories by now.

April onward: Garlic Scallions – hooray! Fresh garlic is back! Eat them just like green onions!

June: Garlic Scapes – ahhh…those tender tendrils are amazing in pestos and sauteed up in just about everything else! (remember to put some in the freezer!)

July onward: Main Garlic Harvest – but wait! flavor improves if they are cured for a couple weeks!

August – December: Enjoy fresh bulbs while they last!
