Garden Activities
A little rain, a little sunshine - that's all it takes - things are exploding! Finding my little strawberry patch hidden in the weeds!
Getting ready to get some honeybees! Building them a couple of hives :)
Planting bare-root native shrubs - creating a wildlife corridor!
Cutting willows - some for baskets, some for sculptures, maybe a fedge?
Pruning fruit trees & grape vines - trimming up the herbs. Garden planning & seed shopping season!
Raking up leaves around the trees - no use letting them go to waste on the grass!
Planting a few extra garlic cloves in pots. They make nice gifts!
What’s Happenin’ in the Kitchen?
Kale chips with the last of the kale - mmmm - I think we're on to something here...
Cabbage rolls! Mmmm! Happy St. Paddy's Day!
Making homemade laundry soap! Just borax, super washing soda, and a little grated natural soap.
Beets - baked until sweet, sliced, and cut into hearts <3 Happy V-Day!
Kale, kale, and more kale! Combined with garlic, of course! With chicken, cauliflower, over pasta, in stir-fries…you name it. Kale rules!
Homemade bone-broth soup with ham, beans, carrots, onions, kale - a chilly day - perfect for hot soup!
Homegrown potato-leek soup w/shallots :P I Love soup weather!
