Purple Deadnettle! I used to always confuse this with henbit. This is SUCH an early favorite with the bees, particularly the bumbles! Raising honeybees has really helped me to greater appreciate the plump & fuzzy bumblebees! In early spring, this purple deadnettle is a real life-saver. And no, unlike “nettles,” it does not sting!
